My friends daughter accidentally deleted all their vacation pictures from their sd card. They have not used the card since that accident so I think they can be recovered. Any suggestions how to recover them would be greatly appreciated.

I found a great program called "Digital Image Recovery" that worked great and it was free. For anyone interested, here is a link http://www.foto-erhardt.de/foto-forum/download.php?id=2 from this site http://www.foto-erhardt.de/foto-forum/download.php?id=2

Take a look at Zero Assumption Recovery (http://www.z-a-recovery.com/?source=zabout)
Another that I've used is PC Inspector Smart Recovery (http://www.pcinspector.de/smart_media_recovery/welcome.htm)

i love ZAR! saved my butt from a few drives that crashed. as long as the drive still spins and the PC reads it, ANYTHING can be recovered.
not sure about flash memory though, but its worth a shot. the free trial i think saves up to 4 directories.

The one that I found worked very easily to recover my .jpg photos off a sd card and it was free. It made no errors, took about 45 minutes to do the process, I recovered my sd card. it was an amazing fast download.
