They should have named it something other than OpenDNS. I was about to bonk you till I read the article.

would you mind pinging the name instead of the IP? That could make a big speed difference.

I was pinging the OpenDNS servers. Those were the two IP addresses I entered as static for DNS in my router as per their instructions.

I don't have any before/after comparisons to specific websites.
