I joined a billiards team in September. I am at level 2 in nine ball. A guy on my team works at a pool hall intermittently. He made an agreement with the owner to allow any of his team members to shoot free while he is working there.
Well, I have taken advantage of this, going at least once a week shooting for about three hours at a time. It has helped my game dramatically. I may go to level 3 soon.
But I want to get better. I am not very accurate and consistent. So I am thinking of building a pool table, but triangular in shape. It will be 4 feet wide at one end, 8 feet long and about 1-1/2 feet wide at the other end with 4 pockets. Hopefully, I will be able to tilt it on it's side to get it out of the way. It will be used in my living room.
I am thinking of using particle board with a reinforced steel frame. Cushions will probably be installed.
It will be used just to practice aiming and nothing else.
Seem like a good idea?
