2 good things happened in 2 consecutive days. you already know about my DWI debacle.
the next day after that got thrown out, the lady from HR came up to my desk and asked me to go to their office. it was already half an hour before i leave for the day. i didnt know what for.
wouldnt you know it, it was an offer for the position i applied for in a different department! she asked me to go see the director of the department (the same guy who did my interview), and sure enough there was a letter for me there at his desk which he handed to me to peruse and think over. They said to take my time, but they do need me ASAP. To hell with thinking it over - i did a good once-over of the offer, everything loked good, and asked for a pen. Man, i applied and wanted this job, of course ill sign it now. heh!
It was more a lateral move as far as salaries are concerned. no change, which was not a big deal at all to me. Im quite happy with what im earning. i can use more, but that will have to come later. The most important thing is to get a new thing going.
truth be told, im fkn bored with my current job - its so easy! i needed challenge, otherwise id just drill a hole thru my skull. Plus this new position allows me to play with a bunch of new apps for our company. Its like playing with new toys! he he he...
2 for 2. things are lookin up. maybe it comes in three's? i hope so. But the third one i want to happen is not as easy as the other two... so im not gonna push my luck. im just thankful for these things i got now - just what i need when things looked bleaked there last month.
