I think it looks pretty bad. Seems like they're trying to make the turtles be all cool and bad ass but they were just sort of goofy teenagers who kicked ass from time to time.

I thought it looked good, once they had the funny part at the end.

While they were being all bad ass and posing with their weapons, I couldn't help but think that there's something funny about giant turtles wielding weapons.

I think it'll be good as long as they don't take themselves too seriously.... and don't have Vanilla Ice anywhere in the film.

You know....when the turtles were first created (before the original cartoons) they were supposed to be REAL kick ass ninjas. Mirage studios published the first comics and they were done in black and white and featured a bit more violence.

Too bad Playmates toys took over and turned it into more of a kids related show. Not that I didn't enjoy the cartoons and movies as a kid...but I would love to see a movie about the ORIGINAL turtles. I will admit though...the newer TMNT cartoon series is a bit more action-oriented...so they seem to be stepping back towards the original comics.

Now, reading about Turtles on Wikipedia they talk about the new TMNT movie saying:

According to a press release, "the PG-rated movie will derive its tone from the original comic-book series and will be slightly grittier than the previous live-action pictures.

i swear, if they make another GPK movie... i'm headed to an island til it all blows over :gle:












(i own two of the three tmnt movies, and the cartoon dvds and the gpk movie are both on my wishlist :heh: )
