View Full Version : Uploader
To those of you using my uploader there will be about 1 day of downtime (most likely beginning tomorrow) while I transfer everything to my new webhost.
I have had problems with the database server where all my sql databases have been housed and Globat doesn't want to move everything back to the original server I signed up with, so I decided to move to Startlogic webhosting after 3 years with Globat (my Globat account expires in Septemeber).
I am hoping to move everything properly so that any links you may have to your files won't be broken.
I'll reply to this thread when everything is complete.
Cheers

friends dont let friends globat. :hehehmm:
And so it begins. I updated my domain nameservers just now, so the refresh will take anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 days. In the past it's only been a matter of hours for the domain to be refreshed.
Cheers

Anyone having trouble with the uploader. I get this:
Warning: copy(files/InfiniteNothing/picture.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/raymondk/public_html/uploader2/form_upload.php on line 339
Your uploads are now ready to be viewed. Please click
"Continue" to browse uploaded files. If you wish to upload
more files, please choose "Upload More"
If I click on the folders I get a picture with an x icon and the file name is struck through.
There was a chmod permission that was borked on the transfer. Give it a shot now.

I found the pattern, it doesn't like users with capital letters. If you have a capital letter it has a strikethrough and the x file.
strange, i just successfully uploaded another file with user name "TEST" and it took the file. How odd. I'll keep looking into this to see if i can find a permanent solution.

Works for me now too (I used Test). Maybe the old files that didn't load are just permenately unavailable because they never really loaded.
