Spy Shots: Toyota Hatchback Coupe
Could it be the next Scion?

A crude disguise made of cardboard, yellow mesh cloth, and duct tape makes this prototype look like a high-school project to build a car from discarded materials. But it's not-it's actually a prototype of a newToyota hatchback coupe photographed recently in the U.S.

The car has a steeply sloping windshield, and uses small side windows at the base of the windshield similar to the Toyota Prius. At the front, projector beam headlights are set in a stylish silver housing, which indicates that this is likely an upper-end model. A criss-cross of tape on the taillights partially obscures the taillights, which have chrome rings around the individual lights. And one can clearly see that it is a two-door hatchback, not a four-door.

Identifying the car is a bit of a guess, but it is thought to be a Corolla hatchback, or possibly a new Scion.

Probably real... I see camouflaged test cars driving around metro Detroit all the time. Although usually not THAT ghetto looking - more like this:

It does look like a matrix and I doubt toyota of all brands would use cardboard on a test car.

It does look like a Toyota, and it does have manufacturer's plates... Though, truth be told, I've no clue as to what rules there are when those are issued.

This is probably a pic of one of Cheapie's cars. He is fairly ghetto and he is from Michigan. He probably stole the manufacturer plate. ;) :P :D
