View Full Version : DVD Editing Software Recommendation?

I gave a talk at a convention, and the hosts had it recorded on video and sent me a copy of a DVD they created. It's an hour long.

I need to make a copy, then take a 5-10 minute piece of it to use to present to a company to show what I can do to get another speaking engagement.

Any recommendations on some inexpensive software for editing a DVD? I am not going to be in the editing business, so don't need anything fancy, just something easy to use, not full-featured, and not too expensive.

Your thoughts/recommendations welcomed.

Sounds like something DVD PowerDirector by Cyberlink could handle...

Here it is for $10 (regularly it sells for around $50 I think)

Here is a free solution:

Fair Use Wizard (http://www.fairusewizard.com/lang_en/fairuse_wizard_dvd_divx_xvid_backup_tool_light_edition.html) will convert the DVD to AVI for you.

Then use windows movie maker to edit the clip.

Interesting timeline.

I asked the question yesterday.
I got an answer right away.
I went online and orderd it yesterday.
The software arrived today....via first class mail, not express.

You can't beat that.
