What's a CarPC? Simply put, it's a PC that goes into your car. This can be easily and clumsily done with a laptop and a stereo that has a line-in adapter, but for a more permanent and elegant solution, you need to do some tweaking.

I am really suprised that more laptop makers aren't building docking stations specifically for in-vehicle use. Maybe it is still too much of a niche market.

i also am building a carputer for my g35, they have a touchscreen 7" which will fit perfectally where the oem navi would and they have a computer that would fit within my spare tire

People have been doing this for years using the MacMini. Nothing really new.
