This, most likely, WILL NOT LAST! Yesterday's Canon SD700 died in a matter of hours. If you are looking for a good sized prosumer digital camera, the Canon PowerShot S3 is a GREAT choice. This camera has great reviews, a great lense, image stabilization, long zoom, and tons of features! <ul>

Is Steve's Digicam review an independent review or a marketing shill for Canon. It's so unbalanced (does the camera have no faults) and breathless in promoting the S3.

Steves Digicams isn't associated with Canon as far as I know and is supposed to be an independent review site... but if you read most of their reviews, the site is ridiculously upbeat about most digital cameras that are considered decent by other website standards.

I prefer www.dpreview.com, www.imaging-resource.com, and www.dcresource.com for camera reviews. www.dpreview.com tends to give the most detail but they don't review alot of cameras (usually the DSLRs and high-end point-and-shoots). The other two give you good breakdowns on the pros and cons.

The S3 is a great camera but has a few issues.

BTW I think the deal is dead. The price at Amazon/Adorama was $365 the day before and was pulled in a few hours. Adorama is now listing the camera $414 and the option to buy from Adorama at Amazon is no longer listed.
