It may be a bit early, but it looks like Ford is ready to drop the Lincoln Town Car from its lineup, perhaps as soon as the 2009 model year. Signs of its immanent demise are there, with the home assembly plant scheduled for closing and no styling redesign program in the works. Town Cars are well known as the preferred form of limousine transportation. Black cars, as they're known, are often seen shuttling special folks at airports, pricey hotels and major sports events.
