Which Athlon chipsets would you guys recommend? For that matter, which specific motherboard would you recommend? I'm looking for something that has AGP 4x, ATA-66 at least, if not ATA-100, and will handle a 950 or greater chip.
Is this a good MB, and if so, a good price? http://www.motherboards.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=34&
Or is the one with the RAID better? http://www.motherboards.com/catalog/product_info.php?category_id=4&index_id=7&subcategory_id=7&products_id=250&
Much appreciated...

I would go for an Athlon motherboard that uses the KT133 chipset. Like the KT7-Raid motherboard you have linked below.
KT133 chipset motherboards don't have as many compatibility problems as KX133 chipset motherboards.
Abit has the Abit KT7 motherboard out. It doesn't have the highpoint ATA100 raid ide controller on it.

The other motherboard I would look at is Asus's A7V. This has Promise's ATA100 controller.

Asus also has the A7V Pro out which doesn't come with the Promise ATA100 controller.

Do you need an ATA100 controller? No ATA100 is overrated. KT133 motherboards come with the default ATA66 controller.
mwave.com is a great place to buy products (http://192.216.185.10/mwave/DeptMB.hmx?UID=&CID=&Back=)
I would stay away from motherboards.com nee Motherboard Super Store

just remember that the ka7 and the kt7 accept chips of different formats. the ka7 works for the older slotted athlons and the few sub-800mhz oem slot thunderbird athlons. the kt7 works with the newer socketed thunderbird athlons. if you want to get a thunderbird, the abit kt7 and asus a7v are both good.
