I'm betting they are continuing the corporate version? :)

If they learned anything, probably not.

I'm hoping that there are some of those "MS Partner" deals like there were when XP was first released. I got 3 copies of XP Pro for $40 each.

I think Vista will fail horribly if it can't install with a site license. Imagine going to each computer an manually punching in a key.

Is that not what the volume licenses are?
... just kidding, looks like no site license. but auto reporting instead of keys.

From the reviews I have read, it should be called Windows "Fluff". But it will be hyped and sell anyway.

If anything it looks like XP SP3.

I'm a partner and I get the subscription pack. I just renewed it today for $249 after a $50 discount I got from my rep. There will definitely be a release copy of Vista and licenses in it during the coming year.

When XP came out, there were some sort of "networks" where some G|A members allowed others to "join" as being part of their organizations, thereby allowing said members to purchase XP Pro for around $40. (IrishSS and Passwird were two that had such connections as I remember. I really appreciated their help in setting these up.)
[edit] Here are a couple of past threads on these "partner" deals:

I gotcha now. Well if anyone wants/needs to be part of 'Kevster Networking Solutions' I may do that, just don't expect any 401k or health plan. ;)

Me too. I have XP MCE, so it looks like a lot of the Vista offerings that include MCE get pretty pricy.

I sent Kevster a pm, but just in case this thread gets used as a reference list, I want to be sure that my interest in such a deal is noted. :)

Really? Because you're unhappy with an OS that's not even released yet? You don't HAVE to upgrade, you know! I'm pretty sure they'll let you keep whatever OS you're using today...
