After having Comcast cable and internet for 3 years I just now have access to the Comcast.net portion. They failed to let me know what my username and password is or give me a straight forward way of setting one up. Since I've found out you get some free goodies with it I called them up instead.

I've looked at the Customer Benefits to see what I get from using there services. I have a question of a few of them. Should I download the whole McAfee Suite since it's free? Can I download and install it on each machine I own in my home?

They have something called Photoshow which from what I can tell is just some GUI to put pictures up on a website and make it all perty like and I'm guessing the source for the stored photos are at Comcast as part of my service and 250MB email/file storage space.

Any other useful perks to take advantage of? Email transfer? Comcast toolbar?

Thanks.

THE FAN!!

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried the McAfee Firewall for a bit, but ended up taking it off becauase I liked my Panda firewall better. I think they only permit you to install the McAfee programs on one computer.

In actuality, the only things I use Comcast.net for is to filter out mail before it hits my inbox, and occasionally to peruse and/or post on the internal Comcast forums when I'm having problems.
