These guys are simply the best in this business. I have been banking with them for about 8 years now, so I can personally say that they are awesome. Their free checks for life feature literally allows you to get free checks directly shipped to your house. On top of that, outbound wires are free too, which is usually a $30 charge with other banks. WAMU leaves customers out in the cold
You’ve probably heard of “WAMU,” the clever nickname for Washington Mutual. Well, customers of this company aren’t amused or impressed these days. Washington Mutual’s computer system crashed recently, disabling the electronic bill pay service and causing customers payments to be late. Thos customers were charged late fees and experienced other problems with creditors. So, what is WAMU doing about it? Nothing. The company apologized, but is not reimbursing people for those late fees and charges. It was WAMU’s fault, yet the company is not stepping up for customers. Federal regulators didn’t say WAMU had to take care of its customers, and Clark is disappointed that there is no requirement. But a stand-up company would take care of its customers. Let’s hope Washington Mutual comes to its senses.
