So I had a flight from dayton ohio back to good ol cali this morning at 9am due to arrive at 1pm. At 4am I get a phone call telling me that due to bad weather flights will be delayed and they gave me the option of changing my flight, so I decide to go with a 7am flight that should get in at 10:30am. I would have gotten their earlier with a shorter stop and great seats. So I get on the plane and for whatever reason we get delayed 45min. No worries though cause my second flight outta Chicago has a 1 hour wait anyway. Our plane finally lands just in time and I get out of the plane just to find out that the a$$holes cancelled my flight to LA! I had to talk to the reservations and they put me on another flight that leaves later and the only seat they could give me was in the middle. I swear to god if they place me between two "large" sweaty guys :(. They didn't even compensate in any way. American Airlines can kiss my a$$.
On a side note, airlines are getting cheaper and cheaper. And I don't mean in price. I remember the days you used to actually get food on your flight, maybe a movie. Now you have to pay 4 bucks for a box of stale ass junk food. And they still bitch about going out of business.
On yet another note... GAS IS FREAKING CHEAP IN OHIO! 2.25 a gallon. I haven't seen gas under 3 bucks for months in cali.

I paid 5 bucks for my lunch box in coach and business. It wasn't much but it was better than nothing. I'm glad they got rid of bags of nuts because I'm allergic. Now they give you pretzels but on a recent flight I got a bag of pretzels mixes with roasted soy nuts. I'm allergic to soybeans!!

Gas is 2.82 here in Sac. It seems to be about .10 cheaper than the rest of the state for some reason.

I heard that one area of Iowa slipped below $2.00/gal for a while today. Ohio is just a little over $2.00 - so how come the price around Chicago is still $2.70 or higher??!!!? :mad3:

dont complain to much .on a flight from flint ,michigan to vegas . i was flying on ATL airlines .
the plane loads as normal were on the tarmac .and they ask for a show of hand of the people going to vegas . like you i figure were ok there is a hour delay . i think nothing of it . then after are plane lands in indy .were all told that are connecting flight was cancelled .and it be 8 hours till the next one . were all pissed they gave us a voger good for $10 to use in the airport .and $50 or $100 off another flight good for 1year with this airline .
i ask if there is a way i can jump to spirt airlines who had room and was leaving in like 1 hour . im told i can pay full price on that other airline .but all im getting from ATL was $100 off another plane ticket with them . and i was on my way to my step dads funeral . what also pissed me off is ATL -had pulled out of flint airport . a month later and the voger was junk to me after that happen . they didnt fly out of detroit metro my other local airport .:(

Here in northern Canada we were paying 1.13/litre but in the Toronto area they were paying roughly around .80cents/L. Its gone down a bit now but why we have to pay so much more I have no idea. Its not like we are in the middle of nowhere with no shipping routes or anything. Its really pissing people off though.

you need to write to the airline and be specific about what compensation you want. something along the lines of 5-10k in FF miles would likely be appropriate.
