Your starting QB got pulled because the coach feared for his safety. :eek3:
OK, so maybe we were a little rash, saying Art Shell had given up on Brooks.
Here's a better explanation why the Raiders coach pulled his veteran starting quarterback in the fourth quarter.
It was for Brooks' own protection.
Seriously.
"I thought about doing it earlier," Shell said of yanking Brooks, who had been sacked seven times for 43 yards. "I waited until the end of the third quarter and then I said, 'It's time to get him out of there'."
One of your WR's was seen pumping his fist in celebration after his own QB was sacked. :eek3:
Also notable: Porter, the inactive receiver, was seen laughing and pumping his fist along the bench when Brooks was sacked a seventh time. Is Porter celebrating the fact his team is getting destroyed without him in the lineup, or is he happy he's not on the field taking a beating with the rest of his teammates?
Oh my...

Hard to imagine what the Raiders were thinking..."let's hire an absolutely terrible game coach, pair him with a jittery, mistake-prone QB, and oh, what the hell, let's throw in some primadonna recievers who destruct when things aren't going well. Hey, how about no defense, too!"
Ladies and gentlemen, your 2006 Oakland Raiders!

Last night was a great night for San Diego. The faces of the dejected deviant Raider fans warmed my heart :)

The Raiders will end up worse than 2005.
Anyway the Chargers always seem to go flat at the end of the season (running out of "charge").

I don't think it's the Chargers going flat. I think it's all the teams figuring out how to stop LT and Gates.
Marty needs to save some his playbook for the later part of the season and the playoffs so he's bringing a new offense.

I'll be waiting for all you haters at the finish line.. Granted it wont be the superbowl... more like playing for the wildcard and losing, but whatever. I like my team and i'm proud of them. I'm not gonna wonder the board posting hate on other teams. Although it does sound tempting...
