View Full Version : Harvest Moon DS
Man, I was excited they were releasing a new RPG for the DS so I went and bought this today. I've never played any of the Harvest Moon series but it sounded interesting enough.
This game is a PIECE OF CRAP. It's bugged out on me 3 times already and I've had to restart the game all over. Wouldn't be so bad except the intro the game contains a lot of long dialoge that you can't skip. Argh :throw:

Bugged out as in glitches?
Yep, the game froze on me twice and one time just straight up started rolling credits in the middle of a conversation and the game restarted.
Oh, awesome, after hours of gameplay I began to worry why there were no other characters in the game and the doors to all the places in the town were locked. I looked up online and apparently this is also another bug that is only fixed by starting the game all over :yell: :splat: :pissed:
Seriously stay away from this game. It's amazing how something like this can get past QA.

Man...that's jacked up. I always thought Harvest Moon looked cool (like Animal Crossing...but less childish)...the store should let you return that game for credit on another one.
I'll keep this in mind when I go to pick up a new game soon...stay away from Harvest Moon.
I finally got the game to run correctly. Now I actually have stuff to do in it! I didn't realize it was one of those never ending, no goal, silly games though :(. I'm not a really big fan of these types of games. None the less, I was up till 4 am playing the **** out of it. It's all a bit silly. Growing vegetables, picking weeds, smashing rocks.

Lol, yeah well...Animal Crossing is MUCH more silly but the same idea.

I have Harvest Moon on GBC and once you get going, it is pretty fun. What do you do with the Stylus? use it to pluck weeds?
The stylus is used for the menu which is entirely on the bottom screen. If you use the stylus it ends up being a bitch because you're constantly using all the buttons and switching around with hte menu too. I just use my thumb with this game. I think later on the stylus is used for petting your cows and trimming your sheep as well.
