I need help!
THANKS in advance.

What is the best setting for a ABIT KT7 RAID Motherboard running a Duron 600.
Here is the spec. I am running as of this moment.
Duron 600@950
Vcore is 1.625
FSB 100/33

What is a normal temp for the AMD? Mine runs around 90F-95F.

Thanks Again
NHB

Thanks KING!
At which temp is to high for the Duron?

45-47C at full load although within AMD's specs seems pretty high.

45C=113F

95F=35C

Thanks SBP.

That seems normal to me. I am running a Global Win.
One more question.
What is the fas a Duron 600 can go without exotic cooling?

My setup of this moment is Duron 600@1023 9.5x (FSB 105 , can't recall correctly) Vcore - 1.75

Are you sure about those temperatures???
I am running a duron 700 at 53 C and 127 F.
Not Overclocked!! Is my Cpu running to hot already.
I'm using the Asus A7V mobo.

Are those Golden Orb Fans really that cool?

Yes thats hot foolio. My suggestion is you use Globalwin's FOP38 cooler.

I can recommend these 2 stores to buy from:

http://millisec.safeshopper.com/3/cat3.htm?921

-------------------------------

You pretty much hit the limit of what a duron 600 can go nhbilly.

The super orbs and crhome orbs are no good??
I was thinking of gettign one of them?
And another question what utility would I need to O/C my Vidoe card

I have a Global Win Foolio.

The last time I recalled. CHROME does not get you home.
Let me explain. Ever seen a full chrome engine driven (AKA lowriders) for extended period of time? I bet not. Because chrome retain heat. And does nothing to dissipate.

And at full load using RC5 temp is 48C.
1026ghz X9.5 107/35 vcore 1.800

And thanks for the limit info SBP.
Think a pletier will help?

The Chrome orb is decent but doesn't provide top of the line cooling foolio. The super orb is better than Chrome Orb in cooling.

The top socketA coolers are GlobalWin's FOP38, ALPHA's PEP66t, Alpha's PAL6035 and the Super Orb. I would use Globalwin's FOP38 on my personal system.

Please note the Super Orb has to be modified to be used Abit's KT7 motherboards. http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/1/183.htm?687

Yes nhbilly a peltier will help. You must make sure its set up right since I've heard about people having their processor killed by the condensation.

Thanks for the help. I just started to get into O/C so I barely know anything.
Another question and I'm done is what is a good CFM rate?

Just to dispell any rumors or misunderstandings....The Chrome Orb is not actually Chrome. That would be straight up idiocy. The thing would most likely retain more heat than it dissipated. Don't believe everything you read. Afterall, what if the Gorb was made of Gold? You think they'd sell it for $15??

"Another question and I'm done is what is a good CFM rate?" The higher the better.

Cubic feet per minute. CFM. The rate at which a fan can move air. "This fan can move 20 CFM" for example. Just an example.

While this may be true, it isn't always total CFM of your fans that dictates cooling. What you need to pay attention to is the flow of air. A smaller, yet effective, flow of air will cool your system better than having many fans blowing in all directions, nulling the overall effect of convection cooling.

Thats why I have fans sucking in cool air at the front of the case near the bottom and fans blowing hot air out at the back of the case. :heh:

She's gone from suck to blow! Seriously, though, the surface area of the heatsink plays an important role, too. More surface area = better cooling possibilities.

Ok, I have decided from either buying the ThermalTake Super Orb or the GlobalWin FOP32-1. Which One do you guys suggest?
Thanks for all your help.

Then agian its your personal preference.
