:puke: So pissed off today I could actually taste the bile in my throat!!

Bought a printer from Computeronline.com and DHL messed up the deliver. Complained to DHL and they stated they would credit back the shipping cost $81 + tax but it has to the distributor. No problem (back in July)...contacted my buddy Bill and asked if he received anything. Nope nothing. Fine emailed 3 times in August for updates...same story "nothing you better contact DHL". Fine contacted DHL 01Sep and they responded that they have refunded the shipping cost back in July and sent a letter to Computeronline...which they will be happy to resend. Okay forwarded the email to my buddy Bill and emailed 3 more times in September without any response. Finally emailed a couple of days ago asking what is happening if assuming I'm being ignored and I would have to spread the word around about the poor service.

At this point get an immediate response saying that he has emailed numerous times stating that DHL has not sent them anything and my issue is with DHL not Computeronline so can't understand why I'm threatened them. I immediately blast back with an email string and basically saying...DHL screwed up they attempted to correct and has been responsive...Computeronline is not responsive and it's their service I find absurd. 2-liner sent back to me that i'm the one being absurd.

Okay. Picked up the phone and called him. Get the I'm too busy to deal with this don't phone again.

:puke:

NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM COMPUTERONLINE PLEASE. You would think a company in the Silicon Valley would understand how poor service like this is not tolerated and how everyone is connected in the community.

I have been a fan of gotapex for many years (way before the alligator logo contest) but have only now found a reason to create a login.

I would appreciate greatly if everyone can remind companies of the power of the little people. ONE email to [email protected] stating that you would not purchase products from ComputerOnline based on a post found on GotApex about poor customer service on trying to get shipping cost reimbursed. Bill is the contact at Computeronline and my name is Eric by the way. I really can't stand the attitude..."so what are you going to do about it...". ARHRHRHRHARHARHAHRAHRHARH ARGH

Thanks....this therapy helps a little.

...and please go ahead and leave a reply if you intend to send an email. I would like the opportunity to thank you and to know that the little guy can at least make some difference.

25Aug06 Update: I had requested DHL to go ahead and re-bill since I would not be getting a refund from Computeronline and they informed me they could not do this. Soooooooo....this means I just saved the bastards $81!!!! Sigh....

27Aug05 Update: I know most of you wouldn't purchase from Computeronline anyways...so many different choices, location, ect... I'm only asking for support letting a supplier know that BAD service to even one customer is just plain stupid. If anyone has suggestions on other ways to spread the news without being malicious...please let me know. I've already sent 1 (only 1) email to owner (got the information through the webisite reg. Thanks in advance.

28Aug06 Update: Just sent an email to actionline at the San Jose Mercury News (my local paper). One of those columns where they try to help get things done.

In my experience, DHL is awful (a problem since Dell uses them). They consistently cannot find my house, a single family home on a culdesac about 5 minutes away from a major highway. :hmm: :hmm: They've dropped $3,000 in computer equipment at the wrong house, thank goodness for honest people. And the customer service is atrocious, as you no doubt know.

In my situation, the DHL office near my house is undergoing restructuring. The printer sat at the distribution station for a week and only got delivered because I phoned multiple times. Even then, it was an afternoon special delivery on a truck without a lift. The poor guy had to get the printer (100+ pounds) off the truck by himself using 2X4's and borrowed my handtruck to move it into the garage. Of course I wasn't home and my prego wife and toddler son could only watch him struggle. Props to the delivery guy and for DHL for fessing up and reimbursing the charge...at least that's what their customer support told me which I cannot confirm since Computeronline are such idiots.
