The French defense ministry on Saturday called for an internal investigation of the leak of an intelligence document that raises the possibility that Osama bin Laden may have died of typhoid in Pakistan a month ago but said the report of the death remained unverified.

"The information defused this morning by the l'Est Republicain newspaper concerning the possible death of Osama bin Laden cannot be confirmed," a Defense Ministry statement said.

If it's true, it's true . . . if it's not true, it's not a lie . . . it's just an unconfirmed report. Last I checked, those are not uncommon.

I lost count, but i think bin ladens died about 4 times now according to the news. He probably has more lives than a cat.

I was somewhat hopeful that the end to this saga had occurred when I flipped on the tv this morning. But the intel is very shaky. The Saudis have only minor intel saying that he had a water-borne illness. The French are publishing it in magazines. Our intel/NSA won't comment. Perhaps we killed him. Perhaps a 6'3" Arab on dialysis finally was noticed. At any rate, I'm skeptical.

Seems rather sensationalist, purposefully divisive and somewhat derogatory if you ask me . . . You have obviously not paid very much attention to renovation's posts in the post. His subject lines are often misleading, and you are lucky if they make any sense at all. Plus you are fortunate that this one at least had *some* punctuation and correct spelling in it, so count you're blessings where you get them. ;)

I fully believe that Bin laden has been dead for some time, buried alive in a cave or building. Whether we'll find and clearly identify a body is another story.
