View Full Version : Stupid Outlook: Outlook must download content from a server...

I get this message when I reply to emails that someone embedded a graphic into:

"To complete this action, outlook must download content from a server other than your email server..."

yada yada yada...it's not happening. I've told my contacts that if they continue to embed insecure crap in their emails I will not reply to or forward a single one of them for security reasons.

I enjoy using HTML format in my emails, so I don't want to switch to plain text to avoid this. (I think that's overkill.)

Is there any way to tell outlook to skip that content when trying to reply?

I think you can set up permanent rules to skip downloading the content. (Vice versa you can create rules to always download the content.)
