Panda’s IT@Home/Secure@Home program is designed to give IT Professionals, who are especially qualified to appreciate Panda’s performance advantages, the opportunity to evaluate the software in their home environments, before deploying it in the workplace. At the same time, our goal is to increase the number of fully-protected PCs.

The product you will download is a fully functioning version of Panda’s Platinum Internet Security, with a one-year license. It uses the same core technology as our BusinesSecure 2006 (v4), our all-in-one, fully integrated, single-agent security solution for small to medium businesses.

Panda sounds interesting, I currently have no protection. I have had Mcaffee and I found that to be a virus in itself. It slowed my computer down to a crawl and it was impossible to fully delete when I no longer wanted it. I then bought Norton but didn't have the nerve to install it because after Mcaffee, I was afraid to slow the computer and have a program I couldn't delete again. Will Panda slow the computer, are there any downsides? Can it fully be deleted if I don't like it? Is this better than Norton and Mcaffee?

I replaced Norton with Panda about 2 years ago (mainly because of the way Norton was loading down my system). I was much happier with Panda. However, of late the firewall has had a nasty habit of corrupting my internet connection, and the only remedy Panda support has come up with is for me to completely uninstall and reinstall the package (which means relearning all my firewall rules). I have become increasingly disillusioned with Panda because of this.

Panda seems to work OK for me, but it was a REAL hassle getting it renewed for free. I finally had to do the complete uninstall then reinstall, after waiting for months!

Also, you MUST use a "work-style" e-mail addy for their offer. No hotmail, yahoo! mail or gmail accounts accepted.
