By today's standards, that's pretty young to be having a baby...

"Whale Rider" Star, 16, Pregnant

The good folks at PEOPLE reported today that Keisha Castle-Hughes, who received a Best Actress nomination in 2002 for her work in "Whale Rider," is pregnant. Castle-Hughes is 16, her boyfriend is 19.

If you're anything like us, the whole age thing kinda creeped you out. But we did a little digging, and according to a website called AgeofConsent.com -- a site that lists the age of consent in various countries and all 50 states -- the age of consent in New Zealand, where Castle-Hughes and her boyfriend live, is 16. So it would appear that while it may be a little odd, it's all perfectly legal.

But it does raise a new question -- who goes to a website called AgeofConsent.com?

You know, I always think of this when I hear about young kids getting pregnant. My grandparents were young but they get to see their grandkids and great grandkids and have a huge family. It's kind of cool.

I guess it really matters whether or not the family holds together 50-60 years

Oh wow!!! I be crushed if my daughter turned out preggers.

My sister-in law and I went to Los Angeles to get something for my niece's baptism anyways, we were at this craft store and this little girl was prego she must of been at least 8mo. It was so bugging me to know how old she was and my sister in law was like don't ask! and was like yes I have to ask so I asked her how old she was she just turned 13!!! My mouth dropped.
