This topic was brought up this weekend while watching a football game. What's your least favorite commercial on TV? Past, present, doesn't matter.

I can't stand the GEICO commercials with that lame ass gecko (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S4jSTCeYqc). Some of their other stuff is decent, but the gecko line is horrible.

This one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOvFIxUz2XY) got panned a bit too, though their marketing plan must be working if people are talking about it.

I like the Geico character, the commercials just aren't very good. Hey, shouldn't we be getting paid for stuff like this in a focus group. Where's my money? :shifty:

My favorite current commercial is the fat kid Vonage commercial.

I must like seeing people get hit with things in the head because I still like the NFL commercial where the kid says "I'm open over here" at the supermarket and a customer drills him in the face with a pineapple.

Love that one.

I like the Burger King NFL commercials, where The King is playing football in place of real players. All time fave was the Deion Sanders INT return for a TD against Buffalo. :hihi:

I love a lot of commercials where there are cats or dogs in them.

I hate commercials where the guy, usually a husband is a mindless pushover idiot and the wife comes in to save the day, which is most commercials.

Hah! I've seen that damn commercial so many times. It would be nice if they would say what the stuff actually does.

I like how they have parodied themselves though, with that guy breaking in during the commercial and talking about how stupid it sounds. Nice tactic.

I agree that the Geico gecko character is getting more annoying. The original "not to be confused with Gecko" commercials were better. Also, his voice and accent have changed so much - he now sounds like a rejected Beatle or something. "Of course I'll sit with your kids..." WTF?

I like the Ferrari and the hot chick in the Vonage commercial though. Better than past commercials by the company. Still, would like to see more Ferrari and hot chick and less fat kid and Vonagemobile.

i personally hate the bank of america radio commercial with that stupid annoying kid thats like..."will i find new friends at my new school papi? what will my new room look like papi?"

at first, i kinda liked those milk commercials where the aliens attempt to communicate with cows, because it reminded me of these guys (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKX0RN19zc0&eurl=). but i dunno... the more they made of them (actually, are there more than 2?), the less charming i found them.

i also liked the skittle commercial with the sheep-boys eating them off a tree stump, and the first few Aflac commercials with the duck (the more recent ones, i don't like so much).

and maybe i'm in a very small minority here, but i also love those head-on ads. hahaha

there are several that get on my nerves enough to make me change channels, including the WAMU ones featuring the old bankers who scoff at WAMU's policies, the nissan commercials about autoclaustrophobia, and a bunch of others...

I love the mac vs pc ones. They're really funny.

I hate that skittles bunny one. It makes no sense and it's annoying.

The commercials where the guy works with a bunch of monkeys still cracks me up although I had to Google it to remember who the advertiser was. http://www.careerbuilder.com/tv/Default.aspx

Least favorite and annoying, after seeing it once, is the Gap skinny jean commercial with Audrey Hepburn. Although, Jay Leno did a very funny take on it. Anyone have the link to Jay Leno video?

I agree with Gear on the mac/pc commercials. Simple, creative and clever.
