Actually the DVD upgrade ended last night at midnight. If you go to the main page, it says last day for the upgrade, but if you go to configure a system it is not available any longer.

I ordered a system last Friday, and still have not gotten my email from them that you are supposed to get after 24 hours with all the tracking information.

They are really good with all of our business transactions, amazingly fast shipment, but my home purchase has really been dragging. Might be the time of year though...

Now Dell modified the deal so that shipping isn't free any more but the $100 off is still active FOR INSPIRON notebooks only! Plus, you get a free printer!

Warning, though, they jacked up the price so what I was able to get for $1449 yesterday is now listing for $1748. Change the CD-RW to the 8x DVD-ROM and you get the price down to $1548. That, combined with the free printer and the fact that you still get a 20% rebate on the entire purchase still makes this a decent deal (though not as good as it was yesterday).
