I'll be heading out to Hamilton Montana for a week during Thanksgiving to visit my brother. I hear it's dead out there. Aside snowboarding, what else is there to do?

enjoy the huge sky and the lack of starbucks, TGIFridays, barnes and nobles, and shopping malls. it is one of the few places left that doesn't look like every other place in the country i visit.
lots of little casinos everywhere.

I agree with the above. Montana really is "big sky" country. Little pollution, great views, great vantage for seeing the sky at night, etc. Cold, though.

Too bad they closed the "Montanabahn" though. Be sure to stock up on good books and good coffe before you go, if you're into that sort of thing because, as cheapie said, there's not much there, which can be a really good thing. Even around bigger cities - near Billings, Helena, etc., you're likely to see a huge elk on the side of the road. The last time I was there I noticed a huge percentage of the population carrying firearms openly. Damn near zero crime.
