The aspens have turned golden and shed their leaves with only their black and white bark left to protect them as one of the first snows of winter makes its way over the tops of the Rocky Mountains. Taken in Rocky Mountain Park just above Estes Park, Colorado.

This is beautiful. I visited Colorado not too long ago and this brings back wonderful memories. You didn't happen to take pictures of the Garden of Gods? Would love to see those. A day in the life of Zippy, ah! :)

Garden Of The Gods is a great place- down south near Colorado Springs and would probably be a great place for photos- especially in the evening hours as the sun gets low in the sky and casts shadows among the formations, but I was in the northern part of the state- from Boulder up to Fort Collins and Estes Park. I haven't been down there since I was a kid.

Very nice. I'd quibble a little about the cropping - maybe a little too much sky and too much foreground grass, but that may even detract from what one would actually see/feel while there. Sometimes views are just too beautiful to catch on film. You got a nice one there. Keep up the good work!

H <---hasn't taken any pics for a while. Gotta get out more I guess.

Awesome! I like how some of the mountains are in direct sunlight while clouds are shading others.
