There are some people I trust, and others I suspect. I'm trying to determine whether the source of this code is trustworthy or not.

Well you must tire very easily. I haven't preached in well over a year -- and nothing I have said today constitutes preaching. Read 'em again. I wasn't even criticizing anyone!

I generally DO listen for myself. On occasion, I can't, so I take advantage of what you folks do -- same as the rest of you (except that I don't post any codes).

More importantly, though, is that YOU should care about whether people are reporting codes they heard themselves, or those they saw posted elsewhere.

There are a couple of users on FW whom I have noticed posted codes that were NOT what I heard. This happened recently -- within the last month or two.

No biggie for me. I'll just extend my list of untrustworthy (to me) users a little bit.

If you have doubt on any the code posted here.. just confirm yourself by listening to the radio (while you do that, confirm in the forum also, if you can). Thats the best trustworthy thing you can do.
Theres no point in questioning, "where you got it or whatever. " (unless the postee, had posted incorrect code or totally new to the forum).
Still if you have to question, SEND A PM MESSAGE. Thats what those are for.

I don't worry that you or any other 'non-contributors' out there are "taking advantage" of me. I also post on this Forum as a "matter of choice"....because I'm the type of person who would rather share/help out others than be selfish...you should try it sometime. When all is said & done, these 'rewards' programs are of little consequence in my life. So my philosophy is: Why not help others, who may need it....like you:thumb:

(What I resent most about your behavior is that you don't PM people &/or your 'tone' is accusatory/preachy when you're 'calling them out' on things. I don't feel I have to answer you publicly as I would other 'regular contributors', if they had a concern about my post(s). I think the majority of those other G/Apexers trust that I have seen/heard 100% of the codes myself, & that I have always indicated if I've 'verified/used' other Forums/sources. It boils down to....It doesn't really matter to me whether you do/don't "trust/suspect" me....I'm not posting here for your stamp of approval.)

Actually, I have pm'ed people, on occasion. With actual codes.

As for sharing -- I do share. The difference is that I share among people who reciprocate. I don't broadcast codes to people who are taking advantage of me.

And -- one more time -- I wasn't accusing you of anything. I was just trying to clarify your source. The code you were reporting as coming from FW happened to be coming from someone I documented as reporting a code that was definitely not the one I heard.

Since the new promotions person at Clear Channel enforces the rules with a VERY firm hand, I've been expecting a sting.

The code mismatches I've documented may be innocent -- perhaps two different codes were broadcasted on those days. But they may also have been part of a sting.

And that is the only reason I was asking.

I dont understand, why you share code to few people and worried about taking advantage. Even if you post or not, clearly, 95% of the time, someone posts the code anyhow (either here or in FW)
We would appreciate, if you could share the codes too, when no-one has posted and if you happen to listen.
