well, i've always wanted to dress up as wolverine, since i can actually make my hair do the wolverine thing, unfortunately, i cut off all my hair last month.
so, if worst comes to worst, i can always wear my brother's old navy uniform....then i can be a seamen. =P

I will wear an authentic 1944 army surplus pith helmet, a real leather whip, and kakhi pants/shirt. I guess I am some sort of safari explorer guy. :) The key for me is that it is comfortable and easy!

I'm going as the Burger King King since I love those commercials and my wife is going to be Wendy (from Wendy's.)
She really didn't go for the "Dog the Bounty Hunter" idea. :(

I was thinking of being "V," but I'd have to order the costume parts.

some friends of mine and i are planning on dressing up as characters from The Warriors. we just haven't decided if we're all gonna dress up as one gang or random characters (the girls were thinking of dressing up as the Lizzies, but their outfits were pretty unspecial in the movie).

Same as last year. I got an orange jump suit and I taped my married date as my prisoner number and covered prisoner with the words Just Married.

well just don't do what a guy at the halloween party we went to on Saturday did if there are going to be kids around. This guy had a horse head attached around his waist hanging in front of his crotch and then there was a noose around the horses neck that went over his shoulder. His costume was "Hung Like a Horse" well a child asked him what he was supposed to be and he looked really uncomfortable trying to figure out what to say. It was kinda funny though.\
BigJon is being a CSI agent, I think i am doing a makeshift Hogwarts teacher. I have about 10 different costumes and I can piece them together to make a hogwarts teacher.

A couple of years ago I was a "Magic 8-Ball." I later found out that a colleague had the same idea - built some sort of round thing to wear with a window and words he could flash.
I took a simpler route. I wore all black, stuck a big round white piece of cardboard with an "8" on my chest, and walked around doing magic tricks. :)

I don't really do Halloween, but I could easily make myself a soldier in the Army.
That was my costume for four years straight. That was great.

My sister once wore garage overalls and had several mini cereal boxes attached to it. When asked what she was......she would say a serial killer!!

I haven't dressed up for 4 years. I dressed up as Velma to Mikey's Scooby.
This year, I got the urge to dress up and bought a costume. It's mass made, so nothing special. Still need to do something with the hair though -- couldn't find a wig locally I liked and didn't want to order over the internet for it.

He was a "bug" dressed up as a "feature", and I was a farm girl.
He won 3rd place for his costume, and 1st place for his creative brain pumpkin.

Thanks... the little pumpkin took him around 2-3 hours, and the big pumpkin took about 5.
regarding the "bug"... a bug is an error in software code. Sometimes, the bug will become a feature instead, if it's well liked enough. Or, if a programmer wants a tester off his back, it's easy to say: "no, that's not a bug, it's a feature!". :P yeah... it's nerdy humor, but then, he works for a game development studio, so what can you expect? :heh:
I got a child's Pikachu costume at Savers for $5 and wore it. It wsa ridiculous.

That's a kickass pumpkin! I've never thought of that. What the hell did he use? A dremel? Any plans?
H <----may try a similar thing if he has the time and patience tomorrow.

Naw, the "Brain Pumpkin" was made using any sharp knife / tool I could find :-/
First I drew a "brain pattern" on the thing. This is the easy part, just imagine a bunch of fat worms in a bowl and you have your brain pattern ;) Just remember the split down the middle =)
Then I took a knife or anything sharp to cut out the markings I had such that it left deep grooves in the pumpkin. Iow, carving out the brain pattern but not through the pumpking itself.
Then I took a potato peeler and peeled the rest of the skin off. This took forever :(
Finally just took a small, flat knife and scraped / rounded the brain.
So not much to it at all :) Very simple actually .. just hella time consuming :(
I kinda wish I had better tools to carve / shape the brain. Like Avlena said, it took for-bloody-ever for all the carving / scraping / shaping :(

Here's me and the girl at a halloween party.
It was 80's themed, so we went as He-Man and Shera. We made the majority of the costumes, except for the muscle shirt, wigs and her sword. (Mine was saber sawed out of a 2X8)

this year i went to a pre-haloween party and dressed up as Nathan Explosion. Very simple, I already have the hair. The padded muscle shirt was the only thing i bought.
the problem is that it was WAY too soon - no one knew who Nathan Explosion is. I dont think many people HERE would know of him too.
that was a fun night tho - 4 double shot tequilas and 3 1/2 beers.... :dead: :P
