Hollywood's most high-profile engaged couple have finally set a wedding date. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will marry in Italy on Nov. 18, Cruise's representative, Arnold Robinson, confirmed to The Associated Press on Tuesday.
Holmes will wear a dress designed by Giorgio Armani, Robinson also confirmed.
The wedding date was reported by Us Weekly magazine on its Web site.
Holmes, 27, and Cruise, 44, became engaged in June 2005. Their daughter, Suri, was born April 18. She made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine last month. The photo showed Suri peeking out of a jacket worn by Cruise with Holmes looking on.

If she marries him, she is even dumber than I originally thought.

Why? Because a bunch of magazines wrote stuff about him and he said a few stupid things like everyone else in the world has done at one time or another. No one really knows what goes on between them when they are alone or how they feel about each other. Just because every magazine you pick up decides to write how unhappy she is or how controlling he is doesnt make it true. I honestly think the only reason the press went so crazy attacking his few stupid moments is because after years of enormous success they finally had something on him that they felt would knock him down. Too bad society has to be that way instead of allowing someone to enjoy the success their hardwork has brought them. And not just them either it seems people think that just because someone has a "public" career that its open season. Its the same with most couples who are celebs. I really feel sorry for people like Brad and Angelina who cant even enjoy time out with their children without being mobbed by papparazzi and then people writing about how because they didnt smile pretty for the camera they must be fighting. Unless they are constantly doing something really stupid that could possibly endanger someone...like a certain poptart and her kid...I dont think people need to know so much about these celebrities personal lives or be happy if they fail. Its sad.

whoa, so Britney needs to be scrutinized and we can be in her business because she had a couple mishaps (and every parent has them) but Tom can't be because when he got anal about PPD and called women weak if we needed Prozac after delivering a baby he was... what? He brought what he did out into the public. He did what he did on national tv. No one followed him around with cameras night and day waiting for him to not smile, or screw up. He went to them and showed his crazy side.
I don't feel sorry for celebs - it's part of the job. James Dean, Marylin, Liz Taylor and many others in between and before them even have felt the same pressure from "the fans". It goes along with the fame bit. There will always be someone buying Teen Bop mags and when they grow up, People and the other gossip rags.
If you screw up, be prepared to see it in the papers and online. That's why you wanted to be famous right? So everyone knew who you were.
Oh, and on topic, I don't care about the wedding. Neither one of these people float my boat :)

Who cares? I agree that he has been villanized to some extent, but it's becoming apparent that he's a nutjob. She does seem to be controlled somewhat by him, but if she's happy...then more power to her.
BTW, she has no ass. None. It's like someone stole it from her...

Jeffbx, great thought. This calls for some good ol' side-by-side analysis.
Katie Holmes, she of the no-butt:

i don't see why people are so obsessed with celebrity marriages. i find it more interesting that women are dumb enough to marry men who beat them.

I agree most parents have mishaps but I have 3 children and I can honestly say I have never had a "mishap" that involved me driving with any of my children in my lap, which is the only reason I brought up ppl talking about her. Her other incidences I couldnt care less about or about any other celebrities. My point was more along the lines of ppl making judgements of other ppl and their private relationships by what paparazzi and B.S. magazines write about them. Whether or not they get married or it works out is irrelevant. Its ppl making assumptions on crap they read in some of those magazines that are only out to make money by overexagerating or even fabricating the truth that I cant believe sometimes....but again its just my opinion...
Oh and I just want to add before anyone else does that I know most of the crap he has said is televised...what I am referring to is everything written about their private relationship, particularly the stuff that claims she is soooo unhappy blah, blah ,blah...no one knows what happens in the privacy of their own home so its that stuff Im talking about not the rest of his looney toons show.

Excellent analysis, Mike. I think that answers that question.
