yup we saw that here at the NC State Fair. Didn't try it but heard it wasn't a big deal. I think it sells because it sounds weird, but all it is is coke poured into the batter and fried. But the dough with the coke doesn't even hold together well so it breaks apart.

Seems like just about anything fattening will sell. Maybe I'll open a booth selling frier oil in a dixie cup. Straws $1 extra.

I'd try it once, but then I'll try nearly anything. Rocky Mountain Oysters, anyone?

i've had them, and i did find out before hand what they were, so i did it purely out of curiosity.. can't say i liked them, they had a fried liver taste, and i hate liver

Ewww, you've eaten that? Sick...

Liver that is, can't stand that stuff. But if what you say is true, which I've no reason to doubt, then I guess I probably won't like the mountain oysters, oh well.

Pretty much if you can put soda in a cake (I've seen 7-Up cakes and Dr. Pepper cakes... and they were pretty good) then what makes this any different?

Pretty much with the sugar content of Coke syrup... it's probably pretty good (especially if they want to sell them at the fair.)

10 years ago.. who woulda thought that we would hve "fried twinkies and fried snicker bars, etc... Tasty sinful greasy treats. :heh:

Trust me...

Fried Snicker bar is heaven on a stick... but hell on your waistline.

Dayuum it tastes good... but why does it have to be SOOOOO bad for you? (Probably like 1,000 calories on a stick)

What ever happened to that company that was going to produce bottled/canned carbonated milk? To me that sounded even more disgusting.
