I need some input. I am getting new tires for my 2001 Prelude (205/50-16)

What brand/model should i get and where should I get them from! (online i assume will be the best price...)

I dont know what I need to spend, but I want to get the best value for my money (I dont want cheap tires, but not super expensive)

Is ~$100 or $120 about right? Too cheap? Are tires in this range good? Should I go cheaper?

Thanks guys, I dont know anything about tires, any help is appreciated!

What do you have on your car now? Were you satisfied with them? Did they ride well, low noise, handle well?

If so, I'd probably stick with that brand. I've had success with most of the major brands (BF, Michelin, etc.), but others may tell you differently.

First place I'd check: www.tirerack.com. They should have plenty of choices, as well as reviews from others. The prices are tough to beat too!

Yokohama AVS ES100 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=AVS+ES100&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=05WR6ES100&fromCompare1=yes&place=0&speed_rating=VR&speed_rating=ZR&speed_rating=WR&speed_rating=YR&minSpeedRating=V) (threadwear sucks though but it's performance tire after all.
Toyo
Stay away from Michellin

Too bad for your car it has to be V-rated or higher tire otherwise I would suggest Yokohama AVID S4 or H4.

Hankook makes good tires for the money. You check consumer reports they do a tire review or 2 every year.

My front 2 are pretty worn... the rear look pretty good... should I replace all 4 or just 2?

If the rear tires are still good, just replace two.

I don't know what model for Toyo but my friend has them and he like them better than the stock Michellin on his TL.

Dude you have a Lude? I have one too. A 2001 SS. I just got new tires on mine and I got Pirelli's but after getting them I think you're better off getting tires from Costco or BJ's. You'll save money on mounting them and balancing your wheels.
