Heh...

When the PC is HOSED with viruses.... I guess those guys over at Tweak3d would rather pick through registry entries racking up hours upon hours of "repair" time when a fresh install would definitely clean house in a jiffy...

Guess I just don't agree with that assessment...

Either way... I'm more of a "partion your drive" and keep data away from system files type of guy myself. In the end, a good reformat (or re-Ghosting) never really hurts to get rid of most of the BS people have cluttered on their PCs in the first place. :D

bah, you can save a system hosed by viruses without having to crawl through the reg. Formating is for the weak.

Though I won't go so far to say never. Sometimes windows just gets that damaged that you have no choice. But it's too often the first answer of a tech, especially in a corporate world.

Heh... if done with precautions, it just saves time. Meh... :shrug:

Besides, this is why we have backups in the first place. :D
