Here's the deal I got last night at Staples B&M:

Get the Maxtor 40GB 7200 RPM drive and the Maxtor ATA/100 controller. At the front counter get a $50 rebate for the controller to get it for free. This week, you get a free external USB Zip 100MB drive with pruchase of the Maxtor drive. Pricematch the drive as stated above for $119, then sell the POS zip drive for about $70.

Net results - about $50 for a 40 GB (it's really 45 GB)drive with an ATA/100 controller. Individual results may vary.
