I actually have to report to work @ 3AM (Circuit City) and so no camping for me.. Last year I got crushed by those crazy shopper while handing out the tickets for the $199 laptop. That was fun and my manager came for the rescue lol.
The only thing I wanted were some hard drive and my x-manager at staples is gonna hold me two.

Sleeping. I might roll thru Lowe's around 10A or so and pick up some Xmas stuff.

...at my desk.

OR, I might get out to a few places super early if the deals are *that* good.

I keep hearing that the Black Friday deals/ads are already leaking for places like Best Buy/Target...can anyone confirm/direct me where to look?

Check gottadeal.com, or just Google "Black Friday"

google search black friday 2006. I'm thinking Best Buy for 32" or 40" LCD TV but it's only 720p. Other than that maybe Staples for the 1gig Sandisk Micro Cruzer flash drive for 8 bucks.

I haven't been impressed from what I've seen so far. Wal-Mart has already started by slashing their toy up to 50% I've heard. Some places are going to start at midnight.

I've gone to Black Friday every year for the last several years and last year was the coldest one.

I was thinking about the 42" Westinghouse at Best Buy, but I'd rather have 1080p (and not wait out in the cold to be #11 in line when they only have 10). Plus, with LCD prices dropping, I think I'll wait. The 1080p Westinghouse is only $1300 at amazon.

I'm going to go to a local store, wait in line, then start screaming that they are out of stuff and start punching people in the faces, right after the doors open...just to try an incite a riot.

Watch for me on the news.

May be Fry's if they offer anything that is worth getting up early and standing in line for.

So far from what I've seen there hasn't been anything that I've wanted to get...

i've read that 1080p is not necessary for TVs <50". and my friend in the entertainment industry (he's a visual effects artist and has to pay attention to details) also agrees that 1080p isn't really necessary. just a marketing gimmick.

i, myself, want to get an upconverting DVD player if any stores are selling them and/or an external dvd writer.

Last year I heard that the line at my local Fry's extended around 3 sides of the building....

If I go anywhere... it probably would be Fry's. Last year they had the BOMB deals that were only announced the morning of Black Friday.
