Most medications have a specified dotage recommendation. I'd suggest that you don't exceed the given maximums when you are feeling really sick.

CJ: You're supposed to used The Word of The Day (TWOTD) in a sentence, but NOT use it in the way the word is defined. You're going for the sound of the word, which I believe is a homophone.
This one's a stretch but since ShawnLee & DF already grabbed my preferred usages, here goes.
The Postal Service wants to raise dotage rates again.

The person responsible for writing the letter "i" had to mind their dotage, while the person responsible for the letter "t" had to mind their crossage.
