The great unwashed face that seemed to be destined to become the second "shame's bond" (first place, of course, eternally remaining as Timothy Dalton) is being rated as the "best 007 ever" by numerous critics, a sentiment clearly substantiated by its 95% (yes, that's NINETY-five, gentlemen) Tomato Meter rating. When an fugly British chap can pull that off, even without the help of any jet packs, missile-shooting fountain pens or nucular-charged condoms, this fugly Asian chap feels obligated to pay his respect with a viewing.

It was good. I liked the return to the original Bond premise of an assassin who doesn't have anything to lose, but I think they should have kept Brosnan on for this. He fits the age bracket better. He's supposed to be a guy who drinks/smokes too much, and just doesn't give a flying f___ about anything, which is what makes him good.
I like what some have said about this Bond. He looks throughout the whole movie as if he could easily kill you without thinking about it. But he's still cool as hell. Well done.

:agree: I really enjoyed the continuous banter between Bond and Vesper. There was a lot of very well written dialoge between those two characters.

That too. Very nice. One thing that annoyed me though was that Bond seemed to mumble a lot. Even Vesper asked him what he said a couple of times.

CRAP I don't remember that line!!! But I had my reservations, but for a reset of the series, he does fit the "rookie" '00.' It was a great movie, truly worthy to be called a James Bond Movie.
I could make the argument that this was the best James Bond yet.

Just check out the full trailer online somewhere. You'll get the reference. :)
As far as the worst James Bond, I'd have to go with Lazenby. No contest. He even claims he had never watched a Bond movie, read a Bond book, and has not even seen HIS Bond movie.
Dalton wasn't so bad, as he also brought the gritty, assassin edge to the character. Less funny, more Bondy.

Craig is a great actor and this is definitely the best bond from a theatrical standpoint. It was darker than the others and while very good, not quite as fun IMHO. There is something to be said for the gadgets and some of the less-than-realistic portions of the previous bond movies. Light years better than the last Bond movie, which was one of the worst ever.

Last one had too many plot lines. NK dude with diamonds, rich guy with parachutes, northern ice hotel, weird car, sun ray control device, Cuba, surfing into NK to remain undetected, etc. And the Astin Martin "Vanish" was, shall we say, light years ahead of its time.

Well....you can say this one had too many endings. :) By my count, it ended 4 times!
