SORRY FOR STARTING A NEW THREAD.

I PLACED 2 DIFFERENT ORDERS FOR 25 BUCKS; ONVIA EMAILED ME A FEW DAYS AGO VOIDING MY FIRST ORDER AND TODAY THEY JUST VOIDED MY SECOND ORDER FOR REASONS STATING THAT

"The manufacturer is
not able to provide us with a guaranteed date for this item to come back into stock, so this part of your order has been scheduled for cancellation. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience."

SO IS IT JUST ME, OR ARE THEY SAYING THAT THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ALL BACK ORDERS?? EVEN THOUGH THIS "DEAL" IS SOMEWHAT UNREASONABLE ON OUR PART, A SIMPLE APPOLOGY OF A MISPRINT AND CANCELLATION WOULD HAVE BEEN ACCEPTABLE, BUT THE FACT THAT THEY ADVERT THEIR MISTAKE AND BLAME THE MANUFACTURER MAKES ME KINDA TICKED, HENCE MY VENTING.

ISN'T THERE AN INTERNET LAW THAT FREAKIN SUPPORTS THE CONSUMERS FOR ONCE? IF THERE ISN'T AND THERE ARE LAWYERS READING THIS, I PROPOSE LAWYERS MAKE A JOINT VENTURE AND START AN INTERNET POLICE FOR THE PEOPLE TAKING LAW ACTION AGAINST THIS TYPE OF CRAP. anyways, eh, for now, what happened if everybody, who's order got cancelled, collectively emailed these onvia guys. i just want them to admit that their cancellation of our order wasn't because of the manufacturer's ineptness, but of theirs; or better yet, it'd be better yet if they gave everybody their order to save their company =)

anyways, im just pissed. if you guys are too, keep posting up threads.

onvia.com bastards.....

I got the exact same email a few days ago too. Well, I didn't really expect this deal to go through anyways. Onvia is a good store. I wouldn't want to see them go down the drain over something like this. There'll be other deals, but probably not as good as this

i totally thought onvia was a good company, but when they put the credibility of other companies on the line to save their own butt....that ain't right. i would side with maxtor on this one.

hmm..what would happen if i forwarded the email onvia sent me ( us ) to maxtor??

in the beginning this was cute; funny. this "deal" is starting to get gay. i cant' believe people are getting genuinely angry that somehow, SOMEWAY, onvia.com is not filling orders for these $26 20 packs of hard drives. i mean, why on earth wouldn't they do it?

who cares what their reasons are? you know the reason, i know the reason. don't engineer situations that piss yourself off. please. i think we all know how this deal is going to turn out (except for the people that are still, quite sadistically, "in process"), so just move on and FORGET about giving 20 gb hdd's for christmas presents.

$49 pc133 128mb ram is just as good a stocking stuffer (:

I have no problem with onvia.com not fulfilling the order, as i said, it was outrageous; but the least they could have done was appologize for the misprint, not to blame things on the manufacturer.

anyways. sorry to vent all that out. it's over. lets move on to better deals!! =D
