Here on the West Coast a few weeks back the Staples stores had these eMachines on this special. The full deal was if the customer signed up for the MSN program they could get the computer for $19.00US. If they didn't want the MSN deal it would of been about $200.00US. Well most of the stores sold out within a few days. Seems that where TKE96 lives that they must of had overstock and so they are blowing em out. I tried up and down the West coast today with no luck... Best of Luck to the rest of you !

I am in Rochester NY. I thought the deal may be nationwide...but as with all deals, your mileage may vary!
wow great deal! i've been waiting for such a deal to get a comp for my bro!
i just have one ques... is it possible to add more ram to these emachines? cuz 64 megs o' ram is barely enough to confortablally run windows and other stuff. also, can they be upgraded? thanks.

YES, Upgrades are possible, these eMachines typically have 2 memory slots, an open PCI and ISA slot as well. ( So the on board Video can be disabled and he could use a PCI slot type Video Card upgrade later also ). Put at least another 64megs if not 128 in there and enjoy ! Good luck in finding one too !

Does it include a monitor? I doubt it, but if there is one included, what type? Actually what are the exact specs of this machine? How many PCI, ISA, is there AGP (i doubt it), etc...

I live on the west coast and I called all the stores in my area. They all said that these emachines haven't been in stock for about 5-6 months. Which store still has these in stock?
