I'm not actually sure what tradition you're referring to but what are two elderly men doing with mischevious smiles on their faces and a very uncomfortable looking turkey? :gle:

Re: the tradition, it's a yearly turkey pardon that's been going on for 50+ years. I think it's kinda goofy myself. Especially because they have such big birds for each one. Good eatin'

Personally, I'd like to see the president actually eat the turkey. Every year the president "pardons" the turkey and it's sent to a petting zoo. Sure, it sounds all nice and sweet, but in reality this turkey will be dead by mid-December. They are bred to grow fast, which places a huge strain on their hearts. If they're not butchered, they will die within a few weeks from a heart attack.
