From a campus-wide email I just received:
In celebration of World AIDS Day, December 1st, there are a few activities that will take place on campus...
I find the word choice here to be odd. "Celebrate" just doesn't seem appropriate. :hmm:


In other news, Friday December 1st is World AIDS Day.

Would be better if it was something like "World AIDS Awareness Day", or something along those lines. As it is now, doesn't sound right.
