Down in Mission Beach, across from Hamels, is a sculpture tribute to the green flash. As the setting sun goes down, it goes through color changes. The upper portion is yellow, then as the sun starts to dip below the horizon, it can become more red. As the last bit of the sun disappears, a brief moment of green can be seen. Being able to see this depends on atmospheric condidions and is most likely to occur over the ocean on a clear day. Here I framed the setting sun going down behind the scuplture, although it is not near the green flash moment yet.
