I do a lot of travel arrangements for other people for work and have been using paper for the longest time. Recently, it's been piling up and I began to wonder if there are any computer programs out there that keep a database of travel information like flight details, hotel reservations, taxi / public transportation information, rental car etc etc.
I haven't been able to find anything on the internet and I'd much rather use a computer database then a paper one

you can do one or the other. Try using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
If you are trying something a little more advance for a good price I would go with quickbooks. I'm pretty sure you can set set up part #'s for dif services that are provided.

if they have outlook and you have access to their calendar just put the info on there.

Outlook won't work because not everyone has outlook.
I'd be keeping all of the information in MY outlook, which is packed as it is and it would take me time to figure out what is what, where the reservations are (really only an issue when people ask me to confirm things for them after their initial flight is already passed).
See, a lot of individuals are on extended stays, sometimes for months at a time. So I would have had the itinerary saved in my Outlook calendar for June 17th, but they are asking me to confirm some items in October and don't remember when they actually got here, etc etc...
It would be so much easier, if I could just use a program to bring the individual up by name, and get their entire itinerary right when they ask
Excel would work, but I don't have the knowledge or time to create a spreadsheet from scratch. And I know it's easy, but I just can't do it. I can manipulate spreadsheets, but can't create them...my brain just stops working when I look at a blank spreadsheet

Try this. I just put it together and you can add fields if you want to. You can sort by the name of the traveller or any other fields. Let me know if you need help modifying it or need additional functions!
