Can anyone suggest a good solution for cleaning a silver based thermal grease off the bottom of a copper heat sink? I don't want to use anything that might corrode the copper.
Thanks!

I keep a bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol in my computer desk. I've used it on heatsinks (and seen it recommended) without any problem.

The danger of GoofOff is that it can leave a minute oily residue on the surface (and in any slight pores) of the heatsink. If you do use it, it would be a good idea to follow it alcohol.
