Since we have multiple Wii threads going and I know there are plenty of people looking to either purchase the console or buy more accessories I figure I would just start a thread where we can list availabilities. I'll get things started.

Toys R Us will have Wii consoles first thing Sunday morning. That's what the cashier told me today.

toys r us is under investigation for "bait and switch" tactics for forcing people to buy bundles even though they advertised for console-only. but these instances seem to be localized so not all TRU's are doing them.

in any case, most every major retail chain is supposed to be getting wii consoles this sunday. bestbuy, target, toys r us, etc... if you're one of the first people there when they open, you should be able to get it.

Did anyone get one this morning? One circuit city got 28, another got 14 and the toys'r'us got 27. I unfortunately was not one of the ones that got one.

I got one! Hooray!

They had 8 at Target, 17 at Circuit City and 34 at Toys R Us. I got shut out at Target, saw more than 17 people in line at CC so I headed over to Toys R Us. I was number 28. :D I actually waited longer in line after the store opened to get the Wii then I did to get my voucher.

I guess the ad showed only a bundle- the Wii and the Marvel Alliance game. Once we got inside tho, you didn't have to buy the bundle if you didn't want to.

Target had 42 and CC had 22 (near my house). Another Targer had 75. I picked up one from Target (#35) and one from CC (#20). CC had plenty of remote controls but no nunchuck.

the Target in Lakewood mall has full stock of wiimotes and chucks and point cards. I know, because I just bought two wiimotes there just now. boo-yah.

apparently TRU.com had an action bundle today, but i got there 20 mins too late... =(

anyways, i'm planning to go check my target this sunday.

Also, for ppl looking, i just came back from a target in covina, and they had about 10 remotes and nunchucks.

I'm waiting until the Jan 16th '07 release for Wii Play + Wii Remote for 49.99. You can preorder right now at Buy.com. I just bought Wii Zelda + 8 AA batteries for $37 shipped, after taxes!

apparently, all bestbuys are to have at least 40 and all circuit cities are supposed to have at least 20.

also, remember the earlier opening hours because of holiday season. I believe they all open at 8 am. call/website to doublecheck!

Update: went to two Target and two Circuit City stores but got nothing. Each store had less than 20.

We went to BB and they only had 21, and people had been there since 10 pm. Oh well. There were also lines at TRU, and Target. I accept defeat gracefully for the warmth of my bed (it was 34 at 7:30 when we got there)

wow, i can't believe wii's are still flying off the shelves. people are lining up like it's still black friday or something. sucks for those of you still trying to nab one... but trust me, it's worth it!

Amazon posted yesterday that they would sell some this morning at some time between 7:00 -> 11:00 AM. I was checking about every ten minutes, at about 8:50 AM the same message remained, and around 9:00 AM the message changed to "sold out"!

Missed it again...

I know this is an older thread, but I was finally able to get a Wii. :) My girlfriend called around to every gamestop/ebgames within 25 miles, and we found 1 that had 1 console in stock. They were about a 10-15 minute drive plus a bit of time to get ready to go. We made it and they still had it. Girlfriend cracked my remote on the coffee table first day eventhough it was (at least I thought) out of the way.. So now it's moved further out of the way :)

It seems like it. I heard from a friend that Best Buy will have some tomorrow. which means they were holding them. Toys R Us seems to put things out as they get them. My girlfriend bought 3 Wiimotes and 3 Nunchucks today at Toys R Us.

I also went and got Rayman Ravin Rabbits or whatever.. for a Party we are having.
