They decode the VIN to yield make, model, manufacture year, engine etc. as shown in the previous post, then ask you to pay $20 (min) to see their records. My car is 11 years old and I bought it new, they claim "10 records" for it. I'm guessing these are the 10 years worth of annual registrations, not very exciting. All I'm saying is, there ain't nothing free here.
