Pic of The Day: Glowing Cactus

I was trying to work on my Christmas shopping downtown and brought the camera with me. I got several nice pics, but this one was the "wow"-est one. It is one of the sculptures in the series "Urban Trees" along the waterfront. I did not know until tonight that it had lights in it. I forgot my tripod so I had to improvise (this is a fourteen second exposure!) and held my camera firmly against a parking meter. The sun was gone, but there was still a faint glow left in the sky.

If you hadn't mentioned about forgetting the tripod, there is no way to tell -- awesome pic as usual Zippy -- nice and cclorful.

This one I just set my camera on the base of the sculpture- pointed straight up. I could not tell where it was pointing.
