This is a nice little Xmas song by the Killers, with proceeds going to the (RED) campaign.

Well I guess I had a decent weekend, even though I really wasn’t all that hip to it at first.
Saturday, hung out and played a little Wii, did almost no shopping except for a couple of books not on my wishlist, and went to a ‘work’ party for my wife’s company. THAT I wasn’t looking forward to, mostly because it seems like everyone she works with insists on living as far away from where we live as possible. And they always have cats.
But after getting lost, we got there ok and had a pretty fun time. I drank something terribly blue. But still came out of it ok.
Sunday, even though I slept well enough, I was pretty zonked. I went over to National Camera and bugged them about the Panasonic FZ7, which I had been sorta desiring for a while now. Mostly because my Kodak takes about 10 seconds between pics, and refuses to focus without the flash. It’s 3 years old, which apparently is a century in camera tech these days. So I went home, and pondered a trade in, because the FZ7 is about 2 seconds between shots, has image stabilization (which is a must for Mr. Shaky Hands) and yadda yadda yadda.
So I go home and enter Obsessed mode, where it’s pretty much all I can think of. I distract myself with some Zelda. Doesn’t work. Ran back to the store at 4pm, traded in the Kodak and got me the FZ7.
So far, it’s awesome. I’m looking forward to taking some – for once – semi decent Xmas pics of the family.
Also picked up Rayman Raving Rabbids for the Wii, which is a silly game. Sam and I had fun, but what really got me was how Stella reacted to it. She would scream and yell at the Rabbits, and laugh as they got shot with plungers. It was pretty funny.
Even worked a little on a review. Just a little though.
So all in all, a decent weekend. But work beckons.
Lord, how it beckons.
You go have a day.
