I go tomorrow (Wednesday) to Philadelphia...three days or if picked a full trial.
What are the odds of a conservative older guy getting picked? Someone told me that the jury selection system loves liberals. I really don't know one way or another.

I have heard that if you are an engineer, you will likely not get chosen to serve on a jury. Trial lawyers want to use emotion to sway a jury, but the lawyers know that an engineer looks at things objectively and will see through the holes in a case.

So I would not be picked but I could always say, "He/She looks guilty." :P

It all depends on the case and what they feel they need.

Nice. I say do it, especially if you value your own judgment. Yeah we all hate it, but having justice for all is worth the sacrifice of our time.

:stupid:
It may suck, both for the boredom and the crappy monetary compensation, but thanks for doing it.

$40 per day plus travel expenses.
Heh, I called yesterday evening and my Juror number doesn't have to be there today. One down and two to go.
